Adding Equations Using Microsoft Office

JHU provides access to Microsoft Office through mySoftware, available through the myJH Portal. Microsoft Office allows adding equations that are easy to edit and compatible with most screenreaders. By using a mathematical authoring tool like the one built into Word and PowerPoint (as opposed to a flat image of an equation), you’re making more future-friendly, accessible documents.

You can use this built-in equation editor to insert common equations, create new equations, edit equations, and even convert handwritten math from a digital tablet into equations. It also allows you to use LaTeX if you prefer.
